Netta, a classic woman who has lived her life with great vitality! I wanted to create a dramatic feeling with this portrait. Recreating a time, and a moment she probably experienced with a handsome man, a martini in her grasp. Romance. Painted on Oleo paper using watercolors, oils and oil pastels, lots of texture, expressionist style. It strikes me as a time in the 1950's, could be the 1920's?
